Are health office professionals weighing in on EMR software?
How important are health office professionals in the decision of which EMR vendor to adopt? Would a physician be inclined to use an EMR software that was taught at the post secondary level? Would knowing you could fill a role in the office with a technology-sauvy applicant sway your decision?
Staffing is a challenge, especially when trying to fill a short term role in the office. More and more we are seeing vendor-specific requirements on job postings and applicants need to have the desired EMR experience to be short-listed.
EMR vendors that are education-focused, not only on their current customers, but on future users, are forward thinking and I believe the way of the future.
